Terumah

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering… Have them make a Sanctuary for Me, so that I may dwell among them (Ex 25:2, 8).
 
Materials were needed to build a Sanctuary for the King of Kings to dwell among them. Interestingly, Moses wasn’t told to collect an offering, but rather, the people were to willingly bring it. This was a show of gratitude for the deliverance they’d just received, as well as a joyful expectation, for Yehovah was going to dwell among them, before they entered the Promised Land.
 
If we’re in Messiah, we too have received a deliverance (from sin), & have a joyful expectation of entering the Promised Land. In the duration, God again dwells among men in the tabernacles of our hearts. What show of gratitude do we give for the King of Kings? Are they compulsory, or do we willingly bring them before our King?

God knew He would cause a Sanctuary to be built so that He would dwell among His people. With His foreknowledge He enriched the Israelites with the spoils of the Egyptians (Ex 12:35) & Amalekites (Ex 17:13). I’d imagine they thought it was all for them, little did they know, it was for them - God dwelling among them!
 
As the Israelites, God blesses us, not just for our perceived benefit, but for His. Do we recognize His foreknowledge in giving us all that we now have? Do we also recognize it’s for His larger purpose - His ministry among us?

16  Ya’akov begot Yosef. This Yosef was the husband of Miryam the mother of Yeshua who is called Ha-Moshiach [the Messiah].

17  So all the generations from Avraham unto David were fourteen generations and from David unto the exile in Bavel were fourteen generations and from the exile in Bavel unto Yeshua were fourteen generations.
